Investec Responsible Investments Equity

The Investec South African Responsible Investments (RI) Equity strategy is a long-only equity strategy focussed on investing in high quality, attractively valued companies with compelling sustainability characteristics (environmental, social and governance (ESG)).

The strategy aims to deliver returns in excess of those available in the South African equity market over 3 to 5 year rolling periods. The strategy is distinguished from other South African equity strategies in its integration of sustainability thematics and ESG factors within a traditional fundamental analysis approach.

It aims to achieve its objectives through:

1. Identifying sustainability thematic, those emerging and dominant environmental and/or social trends which are likely to provide a carrier wave for suitably positioned companies or sectors 
2. A screened universe which identifies companies with quality ESG reporting as well as appealing valuation.
3. Leveraging the benefit of company engagement as a mechanism for discovering, enhancing and unlocking long term value.

Investec TDi Balanced

Investec TDi Balanced is a balanced multi-asset strategy which aims to benefit from an understanding of the risks and opportunities unique to the environmental, social and governance (ESG) dynamics in the market.

The strategy offers the prospect of attractive absolute returns with low to moderate volatility and an appealing socially responsible character over the long term..

The strategy targets returns well in excess of inflation, measured over three to five year periods. Asset allocation is flexible but seeks a sensible exposure to equity and fixed income assets, including listed equities, debt, cash and unlisted assets such as infrastructure and private equity.
