Consultant Cricket Summer Series 2017
In association with Shepherds Bush Cricket Club
We are delighted you were able to join us this year for the Investec Asset Management vs. Consultant Summer Series. Whatever the outcome of your match, we hope you enjoyed what continues to be a relaxed but well contested event, now in its 8th season.
As we all know, investment outcomes are never guaranteed, but what we can always be certain of witnessing throughout each series is a variety of cricketing ability – from wild hitting (and missing) and dropped catches, to sublime boundaries and unplayable deliveries.
And while none of us is likely to give up our days jobs to take the up the beautiful game, perhaps we can all learn from them by drawing on some of the parallels between cricket and investing:
||It’s all about selecting the right mix of players with different yet complimentary skill sets – relying on one or two star players is always going to be risky
|Consider the micro-level factors:
||Grass quality, soil moisture, humidity, wind – it’s all in the detail|
|Adapt to changing conditions:
||The flexibility to be able to cope with what a typical British Summer evening might throw at us could be the difference|

We hope you enjoyed it and are looking forward to seeing you again next year.
