Approval of amendments to the Articles of Incorporation of the Investec Global Strategy Fund
07.12.18

On 5 December 2018, before notary, a reconvened extraordinary meeting of shareholders (the “Meeting”) of the Investec Global Strategy Fund (the “Fund”) was held to consider and if thought appropriate approve certain resolutions relating to amendments to the Fund’s articles of incorporation (the “Articles”) for compliance with a new European Regulation on Money Market Funds (EU Regulation 2017/1131), as further set out in the Meeting agenda.

Shareholders of the Fund are advised that the Meeting resolved to adopt the amendments to the Articles of the Fund. The amended Articles will apply from the 7 December 2018.

Investec U.S. Dollar Money Fund and Sterling Money Fund
16.11.18

We wrote to shareholders in the U.S. Dollar Money Fund and Sterling Money Fund to let them know about our decision to change the investment policy of each Fund for compliance with a new European regulation known as the Money Market Funds Regulation. The effective date for the change to the investment policy will be on or around 7 December 2018 and at the latest, 21 January 2019.

Notice of a Reconvened Extraordinary General Meeting ('EGM') of the Company

We wrote to shareholders to invite them to attend a Reconvened EGM, which will be held on 5 December 2018, at 4.30pm (CET). If they have completed and signed a Form of Proxy for the First EGM held on 29 October 2018 then no further action is required as the Form can be used and will continue to be valid for the Reconvened EGM.

However, if they would like to change their vote or have not yet completed a Form, they may do so by completing and signing a new Form to be received by us by 9.00am (CET) on 3 December 2018, or by attending the Reconvened EGM in person. New Forms of Proxy are available on request or can be downloaded from:

Clarification of the investment policy of the Investec All China Bond Fund and reduction of the A share class management fee
31.10.18

We wrote to shareholders in the All China Bond Fund to let them know of our decision to make a clarification to the investment policy. Also, following a review of our fees, we have decided to reduce the Management Fee for the A share class of the Fund from 1.50% per annum to 1.00% per annum. The effective date for the clarification to the investment policy and the reduction of the Management Fee will be 7 December 2018.

Appointment of a sub-investment manager 
31.10.18

We wrote to shareholders in one or both of the All China Equity Fund and the Global Strategic Equity Fund to inform them that Investec Asset Management Limited will appoint Investec Asset Management Hong Kong Limited as a sub-investment manager to GSF on or around 7 December 2018.

Change of investment policy for the Investec Asia Pacific Equity Opportunities Fund
31.10.18

We wrote to shareholders in the Asia Pacific Equity Opportunities to let them know of our decision to change the investment policy of the Fund:

  • The inclusion within the investment policy of the Fund of a maximum investment limit to China A Shares of 50% of the assets of the Fund; and
  • The removal of the limit from the Prospectus on the Fund’s use of Stock Connect (a trading link in which investors can deal in the shares of certain Mainland Chinese companies).

The changes will take place on 7 December 2018.

Investec Emerging Markets Local Currency Debt Fund - investment in other funds

We wrote to shareholders in the Emerging Markets Local Currency Debt Fund to let them know of a clarification to the investment policy of the Fund in respect of its investment in other funds. The effective date for the clarification to the investment policy will be 7 December 2018.

Investec Emerging Markets Local Currency Dynamic Debt Fund and Investec Emerging Markets Blended Debt Fund

We wrote to shareholders in one or both of the Emerging Markets Local Currency Dynamic Debt Fund and the Emerging Markets Blended Debt Fund to let them know of a clarification to the investment policy of the Funds in respect of the additional types of assets the Funds may hold outside of their primary investment policy in line with the other sub-funds within the GSF range of funds. The effective date for the clarification to the investment policy will be 7 December 2018.

Reduction of the management fee for the C share class of the Investec Global Multi-Asset Income Fund

We wrote to shareholders in the Global Multi-Asset Income Fund to let them know of our decision to reduce the management fee for the C share class of the Fund from 2.25% per annum to 2.00% per annum. The effective date of the reduction will be 7 December 2018.

Minimum exposure to equities for the Investec Global Strategic Managed Fund and Emerging Markets Multi-Asset Fund

We wrote to shareholders in one or both of the Global Strategic Managed Fund and Emerging Markets Multi-Asset Fund to let them know that we are updating the Prospectus to specify that each Fund will maintain a minimum equity exposure of 25% of its assets. The update to the taxation section will be reflected in a revised Prospectus of GSF on or around 7 December 2018.

Investment in contingent convertible bonds

We wrote to shareholders in one or both of the Latin American Corporate Debt Fund and the Latin American Investment Grade Corporate Debt Fund to let them know about our decision to clarify the investment policy of each Fund to indicate that each Fund may invest up to 10% of its assets in contingent convertible bonds. The effective date for the clarification to the investment policy will be 7 December 2018.
