On 12 November 2015, the Investment Institute brought together some of the world’s largest asset owners, thought leaders and senior regulators to debate the challenges and opportunities for long-term investors.

The wide-ranging discussion focused on the new opportunities for long-term investors that will enable them to build resilient, diversified portfolios.

Visit the London Forum 2015

The 2015 London Forum, hosted by Investec Asset Management, focused on debating the opportunities and risks of long-term investment in a low-growth world. Current global economic and political realities are prompting investors, regulators and policymakers to ask profound questions about how they can structure and allocate capital to meet their long-term objectives and promote financial stability.

The current investment environment is characterised by greater regulation, declining global productivity, deteriorating demographic outlooks in advanced economies, and a bumpy path to structural transformation in the world’s largest emerging markets. To meet their investment objectives large institutions with multi-decade investment horizons must identify resilient assets that will continue to perform in the face of these challenging economic and financial conditions.

The London Forum provided a platform for key financial stakeholders to discuss these issues and identify the most effective ways for long-term investors to benefit from shifting global economic and financial dynamics.
