Katherine leads the Canadian Institutional business for Investec Asset Management. Katherine is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Investec Investment Institute responsible for developing unique insight and strategic partnership opportunities for clients and key stakeholders. Through the Investment Institute, Katherine is actively involved with Investec’s ESG and sustainability activities.
Katherine was formerly a director and head of Africa for the World Economic Forum where she was responsible for CEO and government engagement at Davos and the WEF’s regional initiatives. She began her career in investment banking and private equity in Toronto with BMO Nesbitt Burns and CIBC Capital Markets.
Katherine holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, where she was selected as an Edward S. Mason Fellow and awarded the Raymond & Josephine Vernon and Lucius Littauer Awards for leadership and academic excellence. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Victoria. Katherine is a Fellow of the inaugural class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship Program and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.Return to Investment Institute
